How does the GP Plus R V4 Airflow Leather Jacket fit, and which size should I choose?
The GP Plus R V4 Airflow has a dedicated Sport fit with pre-curved arms for the riding position. A-CS® Plus torso panels, RIDEKNIT® inner arms and technical stretch zones support movement, while hook-and-loop waist and cuff adjustments refine the fit.
The Black Black variant is listed in sizes 48–60, in two-size increments. Compare your measurements with the Alpinestars size guide and check the fit in your riding position with your intended layers. Shoulder and elbow armor should stay correctly positioned without restricting movement.
Is the GP Plus R V4 Airflow Leather Jacket suitable for hot-weather road riding?
The GP Plus R V4 Airflow is designed to prioritize ventilation for road sport riding. Vented shoulders and perforation zones on the chest and sides promote airflow, supported by a mesh interior liner.
Its 1.3 mm race-grade leather construction is combined with breathable A-CS® Plus torso panels and RIDEKNIT® inner arms to balance abrasion resistance, flexibility and ventilation.
What CE rating does the GP Plus R V4 Airflow have, and is a back protector included?
The jacket is CE-certified as a Category II riding garment to EN 17092-3:2020, Class AA. It includes Nucleon Flex Plus shoulder armor, GP Lite elbow armor and dual-density DFS shoulders. AA is the garment classification, not the CE impact level of the individual protectors.
A back protector and split chest protector are optional, not included. The mesh interior liner has pockets to accommodate these additional protectors.
Which Tech-Air® systems are compatible with the GP Plus R V4 Airflow Leather Jacket?
The GP Plus R V4 Airflow is listed as compatible with the Tech-Air® 5 Plasma System, Tech-Air® 5 System and Tech-Air® 3 V2 System. Tech-Air® Ready indicates compatibility; an airbag system is not included with the jacket.
Follow the selected system’s fitting and compatibility instructions when choosing your jacket size, including its required deployment clearance.
Can I zip the GP Plus R V4 Airflow Leather Jacket to Alpinestars riding pants?
Yes. The GP Plus R V4 Airflow has a 3/4 waist connection zipper for attaching compatible Alpinestars riding pants. Its longer rear cut also provides additional coverage in the riding position.
Check that your chosen pants have a matching connection zipper before purchasing; the jacket’s connection feature does not establish compatibility with every pants model.
